Allan Court is a dual registered 48 bedded home for older people 50 years and older. It is situated in the Benwell area, Newcastle Upon Tyne. The home is in walking distance of all bus routes to Newcastle, Sunderland, Metrocentre and other nearby towns. The home is a two storey building in its own grounds, has pleasant lawned areas and a patio area is being developed to enable barbecue evenings in the summer months. Fifteen beds cater for Nursing Category and thirty-three beds cater for Residential Category, Allan Court is furnished to a very high standard and has two dining rooms with various views of the area.

All bedrooms are en-suite and are furnished to a very high standard.

A choice of meals if offered daily plus staggered breakfast. Special diets are catered for on request. Mid morning and afternoon tea and coffee are served in the lounges. Evening tea is selected from the sweet trolley in the Dining Room. An after dinner bar is available at no extra cost. Birthday and other celebrations are catered with cake and wine as per the resident’s personal choice.

Confidentiality is the utmost principle of the Portland Care Group. All personal records are kept in locked files.
Facilities like hairdressing and chiropody are available, with the Chiropodist visiting every three months and the Hairdresser weekly. Regular social evenings and outings are arranged. In the summer months there will be trips to the seaside resorts and in the winter months shopping trips to places like the Metro Centre. The Library service will provide an excellent selection of large print books.
