Richmond Court is a 49 bedded home for residents with an organic mental health order. It is situated in Willington County Durham and is within easy walking distance of bus routes to Crook, Durham and Bishop Auckland. Richmond is a two-storey building and is furnished to a very high standard with two dining rooms with various views of the area. A 24-hour emergency call system is in operation. All rooms are single en suite. A Registered Mental Nurse is always on duty and a keyworker system is being developed.
Life skills/life biographies are developed to help the care staff to know the resident and facilitate the delivery of individual care packages. These life biographies will be used to develop psychological care packages.

Personal reviews are welcomed, either direct meeting with the manager or by residents committee.
As far as possible the Home will seek to obtain services already available from the NHS, Social services or other appropriate organisations without incurring any charge to the resident. Examples of these services are chiropody, physiotherapy, pharmaceutical supplies and speech therapy.
An activities co-ordinator organises newspapers groups, beauty groups, cookery and music sessions as well as trips and outings on an individual or group basis.
